The girl swung the rock... and the chain shattered in a shower of golden
sparks. She repeated the process with the other chain, and Astra was
free. "Thank you." Astra said. Admittedly, she was a little surprised at the ease with which this frail little creature had destroyed a set of thick iron chains. "Than-Q?" the girl said. "What's that?" "An expression of gratitude." Astra said. "Basically I am in your debt for rescuing me. The proper response is You're Welcome." "Then You're Welcome!" the girl said happily. "Say, what's your name?" Astra said thoughtfully. "Name? I... I don't know!" "You don't know your own name?" The girl shook her head. She recounted her story. Astra whistled. "Obviously some terrible magick has been committed upon you." Astra said. "Until such a time as we can discover your true name, I shall call you Lily. It is the name of a flower - and also that of a demon of great and terrible power in the mythology of my people." The girl gasped in delight and hugged Astra. "Than-Q very much, oh Woman of Gigantic Spherical Objects!" "The name's Astra." Astra smiled. "Now come on. We have to get out of here."
The Dragoness rematerialized in her laboratory. It had been a wonderful nap. Now to find out if her redesigned servant was... She was gone!! The Dragoness roared in fury. Could someone have taken her? No, there was only one set of footprints in the dust. What could have happened? She had awakened before the spell was complete. That could only mean one thing - a one-in-a-million coincidence had placed a soul within Leonora's body that had remarkable magic resistance. The Dragoness' anger was fast replaced by a glowing pride in her own handiwork. Such a servant would be irreplaceable! Now she only had to be found...
Velus and Eritrea continued on their way into the Caves. "So..." Velus said. "Any idea on how we're going to kill a Dragon? I mean, those things are about fifty times bigger than we are!" "Everything has a weakness." Eritrea said. "We just have to find it." "Right." Velus said. "We can do it. All of Allaria is depending on us!" Eritrea glanced at him. "You really care about your country, don't you?" "Of course. Allaria is all I know." Velus said. "I would gladly give my life to protect my people. Wouldn't you do the same?" "Yes..." Eritrea said. "Yes, of course I would. C'mon Velus, let's hurry!" They entered a wide cavern full of stalagmites and stalagtites. They walked through it cautiously, when suddenly dozens of burbling Green, Blue and Red Slimes began to surround them from all sides. "Are you ready, Velus?" Eritrea said. "We'll face them together!" Velus said, drawing his sword.
