The Stable

Astra entered the stable, and found some horses. It was dark, but she could see well enough to know that she had two choices. There were several post horses that carried royal proclamations and mail. These were bred for speed, and would get her out of the city quickly. However, they would tire long before she could reach the border, and would require a day's rest afterward. She would then have to hide until the horse recovered its strength, or steal another horse. There were also a number of Hespan war horses, a sturdier breed. Progress would be steady, but a war horse would be slower, and she would risk getting caught on the first day. She still had no idea as to how to get back home.
