The Bridle and the Ring of Keys

Mercury did not touch the food. He entered the shed, wheeled around, and looked up at a spot above the door, and to its left. Astra wondered what Mercury was looking at. It was dark, and the moonlight from the outside made it impossible to see in the shadows of the shed. She ducked into the darkness and approached the wall. She felt its rough grain, and then touched something that was hanging from it. It was a bridle. As she removed it from a nail, she heard a jingling. She quickly silenced it and grabbed another item. This was a large ring of keys. She had little time to lose. Was the horse inviting her to ride him? Perhaps the keys belonged to a stable, a house, or a castle? Or maybe to a chest that contained some valuable item?

As Astra turned, she saw Mercury galloping away from the shed. His mission accomplished, he had grabbed an apple in his mouth and was running toward another spot in the distance.

1. Astra tries to follow Mercury.
2. Astra lets Mercury go, and looks for another horse to ride.
3. Astra lets Mercury go, and tries to find the lock that the keys open.
