Days had passed, and nothing happened. Rami got progressively weaker,
lying in one spot and not moving. Amy stayed faithfully by her sister's
side, but eventually could no longer endure the other women's whispers,
and the growling of her own tummy. A large group of women were gathered around the cooking fire when Astra called Amy over. "Are you ready?" "Yes." Amy nodded. "If it will save my sister's life." "Hee hee hee!" Vashkoda chortled gleefully as she stirred something delicious smelling in a large iron pot. "This is better stew than that disobedient child deserves!" Meanwhile, Rami lay peacefully, counting the cracks in the cavewall. I'll never do it, she told herself. I'll continue my hunger strike until they all stop eating orc! Yes - nonviolent resistance like Mohatma Ghandi will solve everything! Suddenly she was surrounded by a group of large, violent looking women - Astra, Vashkoda, a few she didn't know - and her own sister. "Get her!" someone growled savagely. Rami shrieked and flailed wildly as she was lifted into the air, but someone held each of her limbs, making resistance rather futile. Rami continued to flail anyway. "Amy!" Rami yelled "What... what is this?!" "I... I'm sorry, Rami. I hope you can forgive me one day..." Vashkoda trampled over with a large bowl and a spoon. "Open wide!" she laughed as she lifted the spoon full of tasty orc stew to a struggling Rami's lips...
