"That's a pity, for I was intending to reward you well."

Since she had chosen the career of soldier of fortune (she preferred that term to "mercenary", which seemed to have a negative connotation), Sandra felt that she should at least ask: "With what?"

  1. "One hundred gold pieces." That was a very large amount indeed.
  2. "With your life." That was certainly a powerful argument. But Sandra wondered why, if the werebear was confident that he could kill her, he should think that she stood any chance against the Dragon.
