Josh and Scott are grabbed by strange, gooey tendrils at the seventeenth
door they opened. They bounce on the floor and walls, shaking them up enough so they don't think right for several minutes. When they can finally process, they see that Spider-Man is in front of them. Twenty feet below is a hulking brute, covered in a slimy black version of Spidey's costume. Two tendrils are holding up Scott and Josh. Spidey stands on a wooden ledge. This place looks old and run down. Scott spots some theatre-style chairs in a corner, red carpet on the walls and smells old, old popcorn fumes. Spidey must be on a movie theatre balcony! Josh grunts and kicks. "Help us, dude!" he cries. Josh briefly wonders why Venom, the brute holding them, seems to be doing nothing more. But he doesn't look a gift horse in the mouth. "Hold on." said Spider-Man. "I have a plan. It involves lasers."
