Julia smiled, by now all traces of Fred gone from her mind. The sense that she'd left behind something she was supposed to do remained in some distant corner of her brain, but that was hardly important right now. She blew kisses to her fans - they were ever so sweet, and she was so glad to be able to participate in making films that made these people so happy. It wasn't long before she was out of the limo and engaged in an interview with Katie Nordquist. "So tell us, Julia," said Katie, "what would you say, in general terms, is the central message of the film?" "Well," began Julia, adjusting her dress daintily, "the title of A Distant Voice refers to a mysterious force that is manipulating the entire life of the main character. I won't spoil what that force is - or whether it's even revealed in the film! - but suffice it to say that the protagonist fights very hard against it, and in the end learns that she has to step outside its influence and control and decide for herself what her life will look like." "And what an inspiring message! Thank you for your time, Julia!" As Julia continued to navigate the red carpet, posing for all the photographs people kept taking of her, she found herself continuing to go back to her own words, but she just couldn't figure out why.
