At first, the only thing the glowing golden liquid seemed to do was quench
Shen Tso's thirst. She stood for a moment, waiting for something, good or
bad, to happen. Finally, when she was about to give up and continue on, she noticed that the bright white glow she was giving off was slowly changing to a softer, gently golden color. A quick glance confirmed that her skin was now a burnished gold. She lifted her hands to examine them, and discovered that they felt hard and metallic. Experimentally, she walked to one of the cavern walls and, swinging as hard as she could, struck it with the heel of her palm. There was a vaguely metallic sound, almost like a bell being struck. Shen Tso had felt the force of the blow, but it wasn't painful in the least. And when she withdrew her hand, she saw that there was an indentation in the rock where she'd struck it. So, she realized, It seems as if I have become a golden warrior, as from the myths of old. In any regular combat, she knew she would be at a great advantage. Plus, this was one suit of armor she wouldn't have to worry about losing. Of course, she had no idea if she could be returned to to her normal flesh and blood form or not. Or how to regain her former stature, either. Plus there was the worrisome detail that while she might appear to have a built- in armor of gold, on silver could withstand the dragon's blood (see ep 13815 for details). But this could be sorted out later. For now, she had a quest to complete. Leaving the fountains behind, Shen Tso continued to the next section of tunnel. She passed the turn in the smoothed out corridorand proceeded for what might have been another several hundred yards, finally coming to another chamber.
