Yet Another Cryptic Message

Annoyed, Shen Tso's mouth quirked into a frown. More plaques with more riddles! And, apparently, more water! I grow tired of this!

Cautiously, she pushed the center of the plaque, and was unsurprised when the wall next to it swung back, revealing yet another passageway.

Like the previous corridor, this one seemed to have been hewn out of the rock rather than being natural. It went on for some time before Shen Tso spotted a dim glow from up ahead.

Still moving stealthily (as stealthily as a glowing, three-foot woman can, at least), she peered around the corner. Inside was a wide chamber, containing three separate fountains that bubbled up with a gentle gurgle. Beyond the fountains lay another tunnel that went on for a few yards before turning and going out of sight.

What now? she wondered, surveying the scene around her. She thought about it for a while, not wanting to make any precipitous moves.

Finally, it came to her - the previous plaque had read Extinguish the light to see truly, but quench wisely one's thirst. Shen Tso picked up the blazing torch and buried it in a pile of sand. It went out with a hssszzzt!, and the chamber was thrust into darkness.

Except it wasn't - not with Shen Tso herself glowing like a beacon.

Now she could see that in the soft, steady light she gave off, the streams spraying up from the fountains were all glowing different colors. Again, she studied the scene for a while before finally deciding what to do.

1. Shen Tso drank from the fountain that appeared to have jade green water.
2. Shen Tso drank from the fountain that appeared to have pale lavender water.
3. Shen Tso drank from the fountain that appeared to have glowing golden water.
4. Shen Tso passed all three fountains by and continued through the next corridor.
