A Spell Goes Wrong (When Does It Not?)

The Never Ending Quest - Episode 38395

Seems size didn't matter to the Magical Aether. Astra, now normal sized (and naked) finds that Velus had been affected also. He was not tiny...in fact he was wolf-size, nearly a horse. Velus sprawled in the library aisle, dejected. His small size had been so helpful...
Fred, detecting his thoughts through logic and luck, says that now Velus can destroy monsters with the best of them. Velus cheers up. Astra suggests looking through the spell books that restored her for a spell to turn Velus human. He shook his doggy-head no. Astra put a hand to her forehead. "Damnation for a fool." she says. "Turning Velus human will probably turn one of us wolf. Yeesh."
The three explore the library further to see if there is anything that might help them in their quest.

  1. Not a thing.
  2. They find a gore-soaked sword impaled in the wall.
  3. They find Mary Sue, a teenage wizard/sword fighter/academic/engineer with a heart of gold and boots of wall-knocking-down. Mary is very annoying.
  4. They find a check-out desk.
  5. They find the fund-raising bookstore.
  6. They find the bathrooms (no scrolls or magic spells past these doors - the mngmnt).
  7. They find Dick Cheney, though of course they do not know what 'America' is. "Waaugh." says the Vice President. "I have a country to run."
  8. They find several lost Unseen University students.
