"Yeah, I mean no! No, of course not!" "Come on, you can ask." Astra laughed. Fred blushed bright red but blundered on. "Is it true...what I heard? That some males like to kiss males and some females like to kiss females?" "Goodness!" said Astra. "Just what kind of childhood did you have?" "Lots of training, diplomatic parties...why I was thirteen before I figured out girls went to the bathroom in *ahem* different ways." There was an undercurrent of anger in Fred's voice. He frowned as he realized just how much his life had been different from the peasent children. "My." said Astra. "Anyway, it's true. My sister likes girls and my dad dated a duke before he found my mother. Well, before he was punched out in ritual blindfolded battle. But I digress. Let's continue looking."
