The Situation Deteriorates

"Wh-what's happening?!" Bob squealed girlishly.

"Maybe... an earthquake?" proposed Alexis.

However that theory was swiftly debunked, as the ground burst open and countless strands of giant plantvine snaked up toward the sky. Following close behind the tentacle-like things was the creature's torso - a massive bulk of gooey plantflesh, over which, impossibly, repulsively, squirmed numerous naked female forms with green skin and long flowing green hair, who opened their milky-white eyes and called seductively in fairy voices. The creature continued to rise into the air, exposing its lower part - five gigantic venus-flytrap like mouths snapping open and shut with row upon row of mucous-lined teeth. The entire beast was at least ten feet tall, not counting the tentacles.

"I think this calls for a strategic retreat." Fred gulped.

"I second that." said Astra, and they turned to run - only to see that from all sides they were surrounded by natives wearing elaborate masks and aiming blowdarts at our heroes. The natives stood still as statues, as if waiting for Fred, Astra, Robert and Alexis to make the next move.

"Namu-Namu's people?!" Astra asked.

"I don't think so." Alexis said. "Look, their skin is lighter, and their dress and behaviour is different. They could be from another tribe - and they seem to be offering us in sacrifice to this monster!"

"I'd wet my pants right about now," Bob moaned "except that I don't have any! Oh, cruel fate!"

The plant-beast's tentacles began to writhe and slowly make their way toward our heroes, who had to make a choice.

1. Attempt to break through the savages' encirclement.
2. Fight the plant-beast, impossible though it may seem.
