With an effort, Astra restrained herself from hitting him. "That wasn't
what you said when you found out that you'd lost your erigo," she
pointed out.
"Well, I'm sure if you lost your tra you'd be very upset," Fred said. Astra thought for a minute. "Yes, I suppose that would be extreamly upsetting seeing as I'm not a donkey," she said to Fred. The next day, everyone was grumpy. None of them appreciated having to sleep in the saltwater that now filled their ship. They all took turns sleeping, three slept while the remaining person watched. Fred felt the others were giving him more watches than the rest. Their meal was salty. It consisted of fruits from the island (Sweet and salty, what an unusual mix, thought Fred,), and some bread that Astra and Alexis had saved from their supplies for their encounter with Zerm. It was all soaked, and all of them doubted they should be eating food that went throught salt water, but they were all very hungery from their rationing, and beggers couldn't be choosers. No one wanted to speak to Fred, and he was feeling frusturated by everything. He was stuck in the middle of an ocean, someone finished his quest for him, he had been stripped of his knighthood, everything was wrong, and no one was sympathetic. You're being a selfish fool, he eventually told himself, They've all had their fair shares of trials, and you have caused them lots of trouble. Be thankful you're not in Alexis' position, Fred glanced over at the attractive young woman sitting on the other side of the boat. He could hardly belive she was actually a cursed male. Looking over her shoulder at the ocean, Fred then noticed something that made him want to jump up in joy.
