The group continued on. Astra strode between Fred and Ken, and said so only they could hear, "I doubt they want us to know. Many I know by face, in either form, because they cause so much trouble. One child has contaminated wells on many occasions," Fred heard Ken chuckle, Astra frowned at him then continued, "Personally, I don't think there are very many, but they like to think they are large and numerous. Actually, it's not likely that everyone is a shifter down here. Since shifters are so rare nowadays, oftentimes they will settle down with a dragon. Once, I was aware of some human women living down here, but that's rare. I don't think there are any anymore."

Darren and Toby were not interested. They were too busy marvelling at their surroundings. They both were running their hands along the wall. "Wow," marvelled Darren out loud, "I wonder how long it took to build this."

"We do not know," replied the girl, this time sounding much more sure of herself, "We found it, it existed before we came. We did dig some of the upper levels, you'll notice their quality does not match the lower ones, but someone else made the lower ones. We added some things, like the doors. Until we found this place, we just wandered in the jungle. This place felt much more comfortable for us. Oftentimes I wonder, who made it, and why. Anyways, here we are." She pointed towards another large set of doors.
