But there is one person left we have to decide what to do with: the native Synizn....

After we have that special wand change our demifoxes into crystal blocks, of course. Might as well as get things as ready as we can before we're on our way.

In the end, necessity made the choice. While our Synizn was worried enough about putting his newly found "brother" in danger by having him as a native guide in this foreign (but at the same time strangely familiar) lands, in the end we all agree that we not only would possibly endanger ourselves by trying to go it alone but also endanger the demifoxes as well. With a guide, our group will be able to more swiftly and easily reach our extraction point: Barryn. Alone, who knows how many times we'd needlessly draw unwanted attention to ourselves (which could eventually lead to the wrong ears). Ears like perhaps this world's version of dragoness Moreau or perhaps Belboz (if such folks exist and they're evil, not necessarily a given). Bet you that sooner or later that news (from our Infernal friends) that a way to vast power either/or from a powerful artifact (i.e. Crystallic) or those which have been effected by it (the demifoxes).

Anyway....

It seems that Jarlath and his wives are familiar with a similar town from a prior Quest (which involved, from what little they'd talked about, that reality's Walants having gone up in flames).

"At least this time we don't have to play mailman," my sister sighs softly, referring to something that my senses relates to that Quest.

Sometime when we get the time I and my husband want to get the full story about that Quest!

Unfortunately, that time is not now. See, already I see that the unconscious form of the dragonet is blurring and shifting back into the adult form which had greeted us (sans heavy beard and lycanthropy) earlier.

Making sure that the connection between Hoard and dragon is re- established, Dragon Synizn allows his brother to awaken again. Then we ask him for aid! We do not mention anything about the Celestrials (instead cloaking it in quasi-religious terms that Cuthbert came up with back on that earlier Quest in Daria Astra told us about), but we do tell him the basics (up to and including about how the blocks were and are the demifoxes, just transformed). Letting him know that we need to get them (as they are) due to a mission given to us by higher powers (Dragon Synizn hints that it is the goddess of dragons, but does not flat out say it is) and we need any possible assistance that Synizn (the native one) can give us. Though he is not obligated....

Whatever the case, he'll be getting back the Crystallic (which shocks the native Synizn even more).... But that all said, one last question remains.

1. So, the question here is to what extent (if any) is the still shaken native Synizn going to be of aid to us?
