A Very Strange Golem

The Never Ending Quest - Episode 37171

Sandra had heard the old legends concerning golems, creatures sculpted out of clay into the shape of a man and then given the semblance of life by powerful magic. But, even if they had really existed, they were not supposed to be nearly as human-like as this brigand had been. Not only had its body seemed perfectly normal, but there had been nothing in what it had said to indicate that it was anything but human. Nor did she recall that any of the stories had mentioned wires.

The thing had mentioned its colleagues. She wondered if they too were artificial beings.

  1. She decided that it would be foolish to try to find out. Night spent out in the open would be unpleasant, but she wanted to put a good distance between herself and the keep as quickly as possible.
  2. Her curiosity won out over her discretion. She wanted to find out who - or what - was up in that turret.
  3. Sandra steeled herself to examine the "corpse" more closely.
