Fred was indignant. Astra relented. They spoke at the same time.
Fred took one step forward and declared that he was not going to let the Beast degrade a woman like that.
Astra swore violently and bunched up the coat. She flung it at the monster just as Fred was finished with his righteous (and cute) indignation.
