"Ho!" Borgatron said, switching to what sounded like Medieval English as
he stepped between Rami and the orcs. "Thou despicable ruffians! Thou
shalt not lay a single vile appendage on the fair maiden! Prepare to be
obliterated, disquisting worms, thy worthless souls cast down to the
darkest recesses of the Abyss!!" "Hrm?" the lead orc said fearfully. "We... we just want talk!" "Save your pathetic howls of mercy for the Angel of Death!" Borgatron yelled with passion. "Taste the Hyper Omega Super Ultimate BorgaBorga Overkill!!" Rami stared in amazement as Borgatron's stomach whirred open and a fifteen foot cannon protruded to aim at the dumbfounded orcs. With a belching sound Borgatron's cannon fired a ray of blindingly bright energy. The beam incinerated all eight of the hapless orcs, and smashed into the far wall, shaking the cavern. Rami covered her eyes as the beam continued to get brighter and brighter, spurting from Borgatron's cannon like a hose left on too long. Everything around them started to rock and tremble like an earthquake as rocks and stalagtites fell from the ceiling. "Hmm? How do I turn it off now?" she heard Borgatron say - and then the ground beneath Rami's feet cracked open, sending her plummeting into the darkness below. After a few minutes of falling Rami hit an incline and rolled down it for several more minutes until she hit a bed of rocks. Rocks kept falling all around her for a while yet, but fortunately all but the smaller ones avoided contact with her head. Trembling, Rami took her hands away from her face. Her glasses were miraculously unharmed. The rest of her, however, was another matter entirely. "Borgatron?" she asked. There was no sign of the mechanical menace. Looking up Rami could see or hear nothing either. Many of the rocks down here glowed with that same strange light, so that once Rami stood up she saw three exits from the cavern.
