The tunnel they were walking along started going straight ahead to begin
with, but ever-so-gently started to turn towards the right further on.
Indeed, the change was so gradual that neither of them realised they were
going back on themselves, so it was a complete surprise when they found
themselves staring at Astra's statue again. They emerged from the tunnel
and realised that they come out of the last passageway. That had to mean
that the third was either a dead end or had to go under or over the tunnel
they had just walked through.
