The Doctor saw that the game was over. The was one space left where he
could go, and after that, the queen would move in, and Black would win. He
made his move. He turned around and watched the queen begin to slide to
KB7. Susan froze, this would be checkmate. The queen seemed to take forever to make its move. Susan wanted to make and illegal move and step striaght onto the queen's square. She couldn't move any more than her arm. That did give her an idea though. . . She croutched and tried to extend her arm as far as she could, onto square KB7. This felt wrong, something at the back of her mind was shouting, Pull it back! Pull it back!, but it didn't seem to have complete control over her like when she tried making an illegal move. There was a snap, then a crash. Susan screamed in pain, her arm must have broken. But her plan had worked, the queen tripped over her arm, and was now magically righting itself on square K6, where it stayed, somewhat (an exchange would have to be made) vulnerable to capture. After all, no chess rulebook you'll ever read mentions a thing about pieces tripping other pieces. The game: 17 K-K2 Q-K6
