More out of hope than anything, Stacy reached out her hand. Sure enough,
the portal was unyeilding to her touch as well. She had to admit that that
was mainly what she expected, so she wasn't too disappointed. Astra seemed
content to stare at the strange buildings through the portal. Without
turning, she said, "I wonder how many more of these 'portals' there
are?" Thinking correctly that it was a rhetorical question, Stacy didn't answer. Eventually Astra tired of her city-gazing and looked around the rest of the cavern to see if there was any exits. As it happened, there was. Turning back to Stacy, she said,
