The Never Ending Quest - Episode 3524

Fortunately One-Eyed Jack was old and gamey. Lord Fred was caught while in the throes of stomach cramps. He was sent to an insane asylum for twenty one years.
So...we skip ahead twenty one years and three days. Fred is living in a halfway house, learning how to acclimate back to society.
Ten chairs are set up in front of a podium, in an old, well-tended acre of a garden. Some seagulls caw and twirl overhead.
"So..." said the white-haired head of the house to the seven new patients. "When the store-keeper owes you three gold pieces but you only get one back, what is the correct way to resolve this situation? Fred"

  1. "Politely explain the situation." "Good!"
  2. "Ask to speak to the owner." "An acceptable compromise."
  3. "Cut off his head and drink of his blood!" "No, Fred. No."
  4. "Remove his heart and show it to him as he dies!" "Good, Fred! Wonderful answer!"
  5. "Kill myself in shame!" "Okay..."
