"Where do you think we are?" Astra asked Fred.

"Going by where the sun is, I'd imagine that this may be somewhere on the coast of Aqualaria, Hespan, the Eastern Kingdoms, or even Nom Malbra." Fred was very wide of the mark, of course, but he had no way of knowing this.

"Let's hope it's not Hespan or Nom Malbra," Khrusti put in. (Allaria's relations with Hespan were not good, and Nom Malbra was a Hespanic colony.)

The strange boy-dog hybrid that was Velus put his nose to the ground and sniffed. "What can you smell?" Astra asked him.

1. "Nothing. Just checking."
2. "Rabbits. If I can catch a couple, do you fancy rabbit stew?"
3. "Men. Or maybe women. My nose isn't good enough to tell the difference."
4. "Cheap perfume!"
5. "Just us. Bathing in cold water as we've had to doesn't really shift the odours."
