The Never Ending Quest - Episode 3345

Lots42 accesses the Extend-A-Story message board and the 'Post Message' option.
"Dear World." he writes, fuming and biting his lip. "Did you know Sir Toby is a real jerk?"
He sends the message.
The response is nearly-instaneous. "He is?" reponds Sir Josh. "Well, I'm not going to visit his website ever again!"
One by one the rest of the EAS regulars agree. Shocked that Sir Toby is a jerk, they gravitate towards other, open interactive story games. With Addventure being down...well, Gav And Peloso (http://www.nuc.berkeley.edu/~gav/wayfarence/story001.html) and Brian the Confused Mail Clerk (http://losfer.com/story/ ) become the most popular sites.

The news that Sir Toby is a jerk hits his web space provider. The upstream connection pulls the plug on his system. Someone digs up Sir Toby's address, and emails the mayor, decrying Toby as a jerk. The Mayor passes a law saying that Sir Toby is a big, *FAT* jerk. Sir Toby's friends and family shun him. He is kicked out of his home and forced to live on the streets. Even the bums shun him, refusing to show him the ropes.
"Shouldn't have been rude to that Lots42 guy." they'd say. "Them's the breaks."
Thankfully Sir Toby learns enough not to starve. He's sitting between a dumpster and a yellow-painted brick wall when...

  1. ...Lots42 shows up to laugh at him.
  2. ...he uses Dejanews via a library-connection and emails the Addventure mailing list, saying that Lots42 is a meany poopy-head.
  3. ...he finds winning lottery ticket and cashes it in for eight million bucks.
  4. ...an out of control truck side-swipes the dumpster, smashing Toby to a width of three inches.
