We'll Always Have Paris

The Never Ending Quest - Episode 332

Sir Josh cracked his knuckles, then typed in the commands need to start this interactive game as Tom Paris, navigator of Voyager.

Paris looked at his board. The ship was flying straight and true at Warp 3.2. Deflectors at maximum and nothing around for light years except a small class M planet they weren't even going to reach for two more days.

Behind him, the bridge hummed along in perfect working order. Tom thought about all the stuff that the bridge itself had been through in the past four years. It had been ripped apart when the Caretaker came. The bridge had been damaged, along with most of the ship when an anamoly created two Voyagers. There had been the attack by the Swarm, the fight with the Kazon...there had been so much that happened in the past four years that Paris was suprised so many of the crew had even survived.

He shook his head to clear it of the morbid thoughts when...flash! The sensors jumped. Paris pulled out the records. For a second, the Class M planet days away had vanished out of exsistence! Even worse, it had created a bizarre subspace shockwave that was heading straight for the ship. Tom didn't even have time to warn the Captain. He had to do something now.

  1. Tom poured power into the shields and activated a shipwide 'Brace for impact' alarm.
  2. Tom swung the ship upwards and blasted away at Warp 7.
  3. Tom found himself standing in front of a cave. He had a map.
  4. Sir Josh deactivated the game and decided to create his own online-extend-a-story-like game. Using code from Addventure and Toby's site, he set up a game about a man with a yearning desire to escape the stadium sized building he was in.
