The four of them backed away when this large lion leapt through. It had
been about to pounce on its prey which had stumbled. Instead it had gone
through the portal and had to take a moment to take in the change in its
surroundings. Then it noticed our four friends. Only Astra of the four had any dealings with such a creature, but the other three seemed to realise that running away was not a good idea. The lion roared, and moved slowly towards them. It didn't know what they were, and might have ignored them otherwise. It hadn't eaten in a while, though, so they were potential food. Since their attention was on the lion, they didn't notice the portal had changed again. To their surprise...
