The Road Goes Ever On

... and on and on and on. And on, for good measure. The road didn't really seem to be going anywhere. Fred and Astra were beginning to become extremely bored. What's more, they desparately needed to relieve themselves, although they were too well-bred to complain about it. Velus, however, wasn't. He complained about it very loudly, making Fred and Astra feel even worse. They both began to wonder in their hearts whether it wouldn't be a good idea to kill Velus.

Eventually, however, they saw something by the side of the road. It was a flat building behind several squat metal pumps under a pillared structure. A huge sign with a torch symbol and the strange word "Amoco" loomed over it. Like the road that they had just traveled down, it seemed strangely empty.

1. Fred, Astra and Velus explore the gas station.

3. A UFO lands on top of the gas station.
