Astra returns to Betty's house

It took several days worth of legal troubles, which annoyed Betty. She
wanted to get Astra out of trouble without explaining too much, but in the
end, she had to explain about quantum mechanics, interactive fiction and
whatnot so much that she was starting to be able to do the entire lecture
off heart, but in the end, Astra was released into her care. Astra didn't
look very thrilled. Astra screamed at Betty. "I knew you wanted me for something. Out with it, witch! You were just trying to lure us into a false sense of security, and then you have Fred killed to demonstrate the power of your minions, and how escaping would be impossible! And now you've worked things to your wicked ends so I'm back here!" "Astra, calm down." Betty tried to remain calm. If Sir Toby could really help them as she thought, things would be okay. "Fred didn't die. Well, he did die, but he was only one Fred, there's thousands of Freds living in the Never-Ending Quest. Sir Toby, the creator of the Never-Ending Quest and your whole world, may be able to help us. Just let me E-mail him, okay?." Astra scowled. "I'll assume this "E-mail" is some sort of magical form of communication you cooked up over the years. If you try anything funny, I'll slit your throat." Betty felt like she was going to get many more death threats from Astra before this was through. She hoped she made the right choice to have Astra back here.
