"See?" you cry, anger overwhelming your common sense. "Stop sending out idiots with wooden swords! Maybe then you would get more of them back!"
"Shut up!" said the king. "There's like five dozen shops in town that will sell you an upgrade if you kill enough gold-bearing bugs!"
"Send a messenger to take a sword on the king's recognizance!"
"I can't!" said the king, tugging the splinter out. "I already like have a bad credit rating with them."
"No ancient swords or ones on suits of armor?"
"I have three cursed swords."
