Fred steps out far enough to trigger the first of the spiked balls. (The dead heros were impaled on the last two).
The ball headed straight for him. Fred raised his sword and brought it down.

  1. The ball was demolished.
  2. Nothing. Fred was impaled on the ball.
  3. Fred was gouged, then knocked into the void below.
