Astra, Fred, Velus and Commander Chakotay

"Nothing at the bottom of the lake!" he says cheefully. "Just silt, rocks and some fish the size of my thumb."

"Good, good." said Fred. He didn't know where Chakotay had come up with that light firing object and the beeping metallic square but ever since the square saved Astra's life on the shoreline, he wasn't complaining.

Fred hadn't even seen the Billabong hiding behind the boulder!

The group continue down the lake. Astra took over steering, making sure the slight current was pushing them to the other side. Velus grunted a few times and made running motions in his sleep.

Just as the opposite shoreline came into view, something happened.

1. Astra was knocked from the raft by a blunted crossbow shaft.
2. Velus woke up and started yelping and growling at the shoreline.
3. Chakotay was pulled underwater by something.
4. They came to a rope ladder hanging over the water.
