Ransack

The Never Ending Quest - Episode 30123

Fred jogged into the gaurd's barracks. It was a 40x20 mud brick and stone construction, filled with cheap weapons, rotting sleeping blankets and damaged, useless pokeballs. The sharp and tangy stench of orc hung in the air.

Wrinkling their noses in disquist, Fred and Velus examined the area (Machamp had alrready returned to his pokeball). There was a mahogany desk drawer off to the side. Fred pulled each drawer open to find... brown stained, foul smelling orcish underwear, tattered old issues of Evil Henchman Weekly, and a scroll of some sort. Fred unrolled it and read:

"Ugtak - Order your men not to eat the Pikachu you caught in the Southern Defile. I yet need to interrogate it. Disobey me again - as with that human lad Ash and his friends Misty and Brock - and I ensure that you yourself will be the next to feed the tunnel worms."

The scroll was stamped with a dark seal depicting a baleful eye and a dagger dripping with blood. "Odd!" Velus said. "Why would whoever wrote this want to talk to Pikachu? Is it more important than we initially assumed?"

"Nah." Fred said. "I wouldn't read too much into this. But just from examining this scroll, I can tell we are getting closer to the Dragon."

All of a sudden, gaurds burst into the room. There were 7 gaurds, clad in naugahide armor stuffed with thick cords of animal fur. Each held some manner of killing implement.

"Darn it!" said Velus, grabbing a pokeball. "We're gonna have to fight our way out of here!"

"Not so fast!" said the lead orc. "My name Ugtak. Me no want fight tough pokey-um humans. But me and my men hungry like black pit of Hades. Need food!! You give us your least valuable Pokey-um for eat, we lead you to Dragon's treasure. Agreed?"

"Where there's a Dragon's treasure, there's usually a Dragon!" Fred thought. He was just about to agree to the deal, when suddenly he glanced at Ugtak's waist. There hung the shinniest, most obviously magickally powerful longsword Fred had ever seen. It was hard to believe a lowly orcish commander could possess such a weapon. Fred was currently weaponless - whoever had found Fred and Velus initially had taken Fred's sword and royal- blue pokeballs. The only reason Velus still had balls was because he carried them in his underwear, where the fiends simply had assumed him to have a nasty case of elephantitis.

  1. Attack the orcs and take their bling-bling.
  2. Agree to trade a pokeman for guidance.
  3. Pokemon are valuable! Offer to let the orcs "borrow" Velus instead.
  4. Politely thank the orcas for their time, and continue on your way.
