The captain hadn't been too surprised to pick up three male castaways,
even though one of them seemed to have something oddly doggish about
him. What did surprise him was that with them was a tall,
athletically built, yet beautiful redhead, who was currently wearing a
little black
cocktail dress and high heels. Even odder was that she insisted on
bringing a large wardrobe full of clothes on board with her.
Feminine as she was, wearing high heels she towered over him by a
good six inches, so he decided that it would be wiser not to object.
The castaways introduced themselves as Lord Frederigo D'Honaire, Alfred, Velus and Barbie. Fred wasn't sure whether Astra had decided that her real name wasn't sufficiently feminine, or whether under the clothes' influence she had forgotten all about her old self. "I'll have to drop you off at the first port we come to," the captain told them. "I can't afford to feed four extra mouths." "And where will that be?" Fred asked. "Chrissom Bell. We should make landfall there in three days time." Fred had heard of Chrissom Bell. It was in the Hespanish colony of Nom Malbra, and had an unsavoury reputation.
