Astra tries on a particularly normal sun dress. She wears it for a day
without comment. The next day she tries on something else, then something
else. By the end of the week she has on a pink tutu and prances up to
Fred in his rags "Look at me! I'm a ballarina!" She is completely
changed. Fred wonders if it is her, or the power of these particular
dresses that made her more feminine. She is the total girl. He has lost
his fencing partner and gained a belle. He hasn't long to ponder it, for, that very weekend a ship arrives along their coasts in search of fresh water. The captain takes the castaways aboard and brings them:
