Not Even Water

Fred and Astra barely have time enough to react, and they retreat as fast as they can. Millions of gallons of water crashes down on the surrounding jungle, washing away countless small plants, fallen trees, and who knows how many unsuspecting animals.

Even though they couldn't get far away enough, and find themselves drenched to the bone, Fred and Astra do survive. When they regain their wits, they slowly begin making their way back towards where the lake was. The terrain is barely stable to walk on. Fred and Astra also must contend with the hundreds of fallen trees or upended rocks in their way.

The displaced water is slowly draining back into the giant pit in the clearing that was the lake. Fred spies what seems to be a concealed passageway at the bottom. It seemed to be, as absurd as the idea sounded, a man made structure.

Astra and Fred, tired, filthy and hungry, exchange a look. What will they do now?

1. Continue towards the red pyramid in the distance.
2. Make their way down to the bottom of the lake.
3. Speculate about how Velus might have been responsible for all of this.
4. Mud wrestle.
