Uncomfortably close encounters......

As the group that has Inquirer pops into existence on the slipgate stone next to the desert abode of Dr. Vincent, mage and scientist, Malachi D'Honaire and Inquirer are discussing their target.<P.

"It's very likely that Dr. Vincent is dead, you know." Inquirer warned the dragoness. "This area was especially saturated with the vaporized seawater from the ocean nuke site, you know."

"I know," Malachi, in human form, nods while looking at the stunning mage's tower in front of them. "I've done some shared research with this.....odd fellow before. He was considered something of a.....eccentric in the magic circles because he believed that science was.....'the wave of the future' and he was going to crest that wave by being the foremost expert on the combination of magic....and science.

"I dismissed him for believing in the potential of science," the dragnoness says drolly, glancing meaningfully at the female Golem. "But ever having met the likes of you and your eldritch science.....I find myself revising that opinion."

Alicia 2 and Dragon Fred chuckle, but Inquirer....hears.....

Super sensitive hearing detects a second before what cybernetic eyes confirm!

Oh good GREIF! Inquirer shouts to herself as she flashes the danger sign to the others and pulls up the hood to her black cloak..

Three pair of eyes look in the direction of where the frantic Golem had looks, and two pair of draconian and one pair of human (startling green) eyes blink at the unpleasant surprise. The quickly follow suit and also throw up their black cloaks. The area which they stand upon is absent of all evidence of occupation as a strange group of adventurers turn around and blink at the majestic mage's two before them.

1. "It looks just like it did back home," grumps Fred 3, still remembering the minstration of Dr. Vincent.
