Bunny bounded up and offered the new arrivals cups of coffee, but Black
Astra hit her in the back of the head. "OW!" said Bunny. "Leave em be,"
growled Black Astra, "They must be tired, freaked and frustrated by this
whole damn mess... why for all we know they probably think that we
are their enemy!" With that the demifox and the nubian left our group
alone.
"Wow," said Fred. "Not only did the dark-skinned one figure out my thoughts on the enemy she also looks an awful lot like you Astra!" "But she isn't me and I'm not her!" protested a wigged-out Astra. "But," began Exotica, "They spoke of dimensions and alter-realities, indeed did we not enter a glowing portal in order to come ourselves to this place?" "I don't trust them," grunted Anina. "Why, that furball of a wizard used his own magical weapon to shatter the magical orb which the dragoness was going to use on us." "Does that make the fur-mage our friend or foe? An enemy to this group or simply an idiot?" asked Astra. "Not sure," said Fred. "But what I wanna know is why are there a bunch of monsters claiming to be me???" "And how is it that they are in truck with dragons???" added Astra. "It's a long story," piped in the lithe Willow. "I know only the last few years by personal experience, though." The group looked at her (even Velus, let's not forget him!). "I come from Califie and my whole life has been lived under the shadow of Draconis. Our sheep, our goats, our cheese... they are taken by dragon-servants to feed their growing legions. We cannot deny them this for if we did we would be crushed..." "What of Caemlyn?!?" said Fred. "I... I don't know that name... I only know that whatever powers ruled the northern land before the Dragon came to full power, well, they're all dead." "Not all," muttered Exotica, a tear welling up in her eye.
