Nom Malbra! Fred and Astra knew now that they were far away from home.
What made matters worse was that Nom Malbra was a colony of Hespan, which
was currently not on good terms with either Allaria or Aqualaria. Whilst
southern Aqualaria was not that far distant, to reach it they would have
to cross a mountain range and then the Sweltering Jungles of the South, or
else go by sea. But with the political situation as it now was, finding a
ship that would take them to Aqualaria would not be easy.
The man had just about stopped laughing now. "What's so funny?" Astra asked him. "I was one of the colonists lured from Hespan by promises of how great life would be here," the man replied. "'Gran Adah, jewel in the hilt of Nom Malbra' was how the posters described it. Hah! 'Gran Adah, boil in the smelly armpit of Nom Malbra' would have been closer to the truth." "Not a pleasant place then?" Fred said. "Well, we don't plan on staying long anyway."
