Everyone met up at the two rooms they had been given. A couple hours were
spent in washing up, shaving, eating and the trying on of new clothing. Then it was group meeting. Fred had found a ship heading for home in a month's time but it was terribly expensive and it was uncertain they could raise the money in time. Ridcully had talked with his magical compatriots. Some sort of enemy had invaded Allaria. Strong powers were behind it all. A magical trip home was a possibillity but there was a good chance they would one, simply not survive, two, appear in each other's bodies or three, be drawn straight to the strongest patch of black magic, which would obviously be deep inside enemy territory. So it was a vote. Try and make enough money for a trip home and get there in two and a half months or get there in a couple hours and risk horrible death and stuff.
