Minestus is sucked into the portal

A whopping mass of swirling colours was slowly sucking the dragon, Minestus, into another dimension, world, or universe. Fred had learnt a tad about this at Adventuring School, his professor, Sir Tobias D'Oddernite, a dimensional expert.

Fred sat restlessly at his desk, only half paying attention to Sir Toby's speech. He understood little of it, and this is what he catch:

"Imagine that the universe is a bunch of magnets on a blank slate. The magnets, which are various dimensions, are slowly being pulled together, coincidentally by magnetic force. If they touch, a ripple in time is created, pulling any nearby items into it."

The dragon let out one final vigorous roar, before completely dissolving into the portal.

1. Fred returned to his kingdom to get his reward. If the dragon was in another dimension, it couldn't be much trouble anymore.
2. Fred pursued the dragon into the portal.
