Into the mushroom-fields they went, continuing their slaughter. Of course
Lava Man was having a much better time of it as Fred was sorely
intoxicated. Although the initial burst of fear and adrenaline had
cleared his head somewhat, now that they were down to hand to claw to
fireball combat, well, Fred's body was just not cooperating. He began to
cough and shiver, he felt hot and then cold, he vomited first once and
then twice and then thrice! All the while little kobolds were hurling
feces at him... feces with cleverly hidden rocks within them!
"OW! OUCH! OOPS! CRAP! DOUBLE CRAP! OUCH!!!!!" yelled Fred in between bouts of haziness and vomiting. The Lava Man was doing all the killing with his vastly superior fireballs and firesquares and firetrapezoids (he had been an exceptional student of geometry while in lava school). Fred was simply bumbling about trying not to puke on his own armor.
