Stumbling Across Sir Toby

The two take several west-leaning passageways. It's fairly dark, the only light coming from Sir Josh's torch. Suddenly, the two stumble across a prone figure. It yelps and sits up. Sir Josh whips out his sword but backs off when he sees it is just Sir Toby.

"Sir Toby!" Sir Josh says. "What are you doing here?"
Sir Toby stands up. "I don't know. I was creating an episode myself when ... well, all I remember is the keyboard rushing up to meet my face. Then I'm here. I take it this is the dragon's caves?"
"Yep."
"And is that Velus?"
"No. It's Lord Fred in the body of a small dog."
"Oh, my. Where have I been?"
Sir Josh had a terrible thought. "Sir Toby. How many Extend A Story episodes was there while you were creating the episode in question?"
Sir Toby beams. "Why, we'd just gotten up to number five hundred!"
"Oh my." thought Sir Josh. "Now, were past 3000!"
What does Sir Josh do now?

1. Sir Josh tells Sir Toby that he, Sir Toby, has come from the past.
2. Sir Josh does not tell Sir Toby anything for it might disrupt the timeline.
3. Sir Josh, Lord Fred and Sir Toby find themselves in the middle of a surburban mall.
