Fred had heard many wild rumors of nomadic tribes that wandered the
northern and western reaches of the civilized world, their physical
discriptions fitting in very well with the features of the woman he saw
before him. There was the mysterious S'dansi of the north, the wandering
Ki'Shii of the west, and countless other barbaric peoples that were too
primitive and backwards in their ways to settle down and create an
organized society of their own. As an Allarian, he had a natural disdain
for these savages and their vile ways, but something about the woman
before him struck him as different. There was something inherintly
magical about her, and not just because he had found her in a
pillar of light! She was to be feared, this he grasped. And he still felt
like an idiot in her presence. The faint light emitted by Fred's torch suddenly illuminated a wall of boulders blocking their way. They looked at each other wide-eyed and knowingly, as if they both were thinking the same question: "How long were we in there!?" Fred's suspicions of this woman were still strong, she could likely be a witch, a temptress in disguise who had lured him into the ensorcled pillar of light. But another part of him whispered that she wasn't an enemy...though she still radiated an aura of raw magical energy. All I really know right now is that slack-jawed addlebrain I call my squire slipped me decaf this morning!Fred lamented, sinking into brooding thought as a way to escape the reality of the situation. That's it, blame the coffee for my carelessness! That's the ticket!
