As the police escorted the Emerald Tiers quartet away, the MC came on
stage. "I'm very sorry about that, ladies and gentlemen," he said. "Are
there any musicians amongst you, by any chance, who would care to
entertain us?"
Seized by a mood of slightly tipsy bravado, our heroes left the remains of their chips behind and made their way up onto the stage. Fortunately - or possibly unfortunately - Emerald Tiers had left their instruments behind. "Ladies and Gentlemen," the MC said, "a big hand please for our gallant volunteers. They call themselves..."
