"I am Lord Frederigo D'Honaire, of the Duchy of Suffex in Allaria," Fred introduced himself. "And this is the wizard Belboz. Er, pardon me for saying so, but you don't seem to be dressed for drangon slaying."

"This dress isn't what I was wearing originally, but is the result of the dragon's magic. He changed my armour into it."

At that point Belboz butted in: "One more spell to neutralise, and then you'll be free." He gestured, and a bigger pink flash of light than any of the previous ones enveloped Astra, her chains and the wooden structure. When it disssipated...

"Oh dear!" Belboz exclaimed. "It seems that the dragon had an extra magical booby trap that I hadn't detected. I'm very sorry, my dear. Still, at least your chains have vanished."

"Never mind being sorry," Astra said a touch irritably. "Can you undo it?"

1. She had to crane her neck to look up at him, since she was now only three feet tall.
2. She had to crane her neck to look down at him, since she was now some nine feet tall. This increase in height was entirely due to her legs being almost six feet long.
3. Fred could not understand the yapping of the poodle that Astra had become. Fortunately Belboz, thanks to his magic skills, could.
