Fred walked into the window with the mirror-like puddle of rain. The
ground was moist from a recent downpour, and the lush undergrowth of
ferns and grasses was covered in dew. The singing of birds resounded from
everywhere, an almost orchastrative quality to their carefree chatter.
The redwoods that dominated the serene scene seemed to be full of
brooding memory. And then there was the puddle. Now that he had a better view of it, he realized that it was wasn't a puddle of rain at all. Oh, it was a puddle alright, but it had a silvery, metallic quality to it, and it definetly wasn't water. His mirrored image seemed distorted somehow, as he looked into it's surface. He felt strangely drawn towards whatever lay at the other end of the... "Many have come before you, and many will come after you," said Lewel, appearing beside him suddenly. "Those who last longest will take care to avoid silver puddles or doors. Come, test two awaits..."
