You are probably wondering how I knew where and when to send this e-mail. The short answer is: I brought you here. I brought you through the parallel void in your sleep, Stacy. Everything is how you remember it, except that this world is devoid of humans. Anything that you do not remember is only a side effect of the trip through the parallel void.
