Fred trotted through the door on the right and emerged in a wide corridor
lit with shinny little rocks set in the coral and marble inlaid walls,
which alternated a dizzying array of colors. The floor was patterned with
yellow bricks, and the ceiling was a nondescript white plaster. Marvelling
at the odd engineering, Fred continued down the corridor, his footsteps
echoing through the gloom. Before long he had arrived at another door, and
cautiously kicked it open to step into what appeared to be a cow stall. Yes, it was indeed a cow stall. Dozens of cows of various unnatural colors were packed into dozens of narrow wooden stalls. The cows were eating from their troughs, but unlike the cows of Fred's homeland, these cows were anything but tranquil. In fact, most of these cows seemed extremely paranoid, and literally shook and trembled as they ate. Before Fred could do anything, one of the cows, a mauve and pink one, caught sight of him and gasped. "It's the Destined One! He's come to rescue us!" "How do we know he's not one of them?" another cow, a blue and purple one, mooed. "Look at him! He bears the iron!" "You cows can talk?" Fred said in confusion. "Yes, yes!" the first cow exclaimed. "We are the Kowe of the Brannannia Tribe, kidnapped from our native plane by the wicked faeries of this world, and used for some diabolical purpose! What that purpose is, we knoweth not! All we know is that each week the faeries take one of us down that corridor from which you just emerged! But our elders passed down a prophesy, that one day a brown-haired, iron-bearing Destined One would come and lead us in a rebellion against the evil faeries! Oh, I cannot believe that day is finally here!" Fred considered this. He was indeed brown-haired, and indeed carried weapons of iron. After a few moments he spoke:
