Mist had been sloshing along after the others when he'd felt a weird surge of energy nearby. (While his eyesight wasn't that great in this form, he could sense forms of energy that no other human could.) "Hey guys! Guys!" he shouted after them, but they didn't seem to notice, too wrapped up in their conversation. "Why does everyone have to be so damn ungrateful? Oh well. At least I can investigate this cool... whatever's doing this." Too curious as always, Mist sloshed off to investigate the surge of energy. By the time Fred, Astra, Ardua, and Velus had reached the library, Mist had reached the source of the energy surge, and found that it was a

  1. Some kind of portal.
  2. Somebody chained to a wall. (Mist couldn't tell whether it was male or female from what it looked like, but suspected it was probably a mage.)
  3. The Dragon itself, which seemed to be asleep.
