Fred explodes

The Never Ending Quest - Episode 25004

Fred is walking up the Sidahrain Pathway, the ancient road that existed before the city of Camelyn was even a possibillity.
The road led up to the castle where King Emry sat waiting. It didn't end there. Legends said it went south through the land of the Amazons and just went on going forever. Of course, other rumors said it ended in a barn full of feral chickens.
Fred enjoyed the warm sunny day and the waves of the people in the brick and wooden shops lining the Pathway. Most of them were painted a dark purple and black, the royal colors of the Great Kingdom.
By an astonishing coincidence, Fred was pondering explosions when he himself exploded.
It wasn't a powerful explosion but it knocked out windows for one full block. Thirteen people were injured and one parrot was killed. But it was old anyway and the Vetenarian Squad had all thought it should have died years ago.
Fred is nothing more then a smoky mess on the stones of the Pathway.
Much confusion happens.
Who is assigned to investigate this explosion?

  1. The mage Belboz.
  2. The visiting warrior Princess Astra. (She owed the Kingdom a favor).
  3. Cheif of Law Enforcement, MagePrincess Exotica.
  4. Rookie officer Dan Fogelbert.
  5. 25 year old Lord Fred and five of his best men, all who were on a diplomatic visit from the past.
  6. Private Eye Hal Armchair. There are a million stories in the Great Kingdom. This is one of the weirder ones. Hal called in his secretary, exiled Amazon Betty.
